Entering the world of weims

Well, hi there world. My name is Scout and I'm a 20 month old weimaraner. However old that is??? Mom says I'm old enough to know better, but I'm still her baby. Dad just says I'm old enough to know better. I figured I'd tell my story of how I came into this world and how I came to be where I am.

I was born on May 14, 2004 to a wonderful family. My dad's a champion. He's handsome and strong, sweet and smart. My mom is beautiful and loving, enthusiastic and silly. I'm a pretty good mix of both of them. I have 2 weim brothers named Roman and Shea and 2 weim sisters named Katie and Lola.

I don't know very much about them since I live so far away from the rest of them. But mom tells me thier stories when she hears about them from my breeder mommy. Perhaps I will share them with you someday. But for now I need to tell you about my humans and how I chose them.

*************

It was sunny and beautiful day in June as our suv cruised down I90. We were anxious to reach our destination where 5 warm soft gray puppies awaited our introduction. We were certainly not disappointed. All the puppies were wonderful. Even at 6 weeks of age, they each had thier own little personalities. We were in heaven as we held each one of them. We knew we wanted a boy, but there were 3. So how do you choose??? We watched them interact. Roman and Shea were wrestling and tumbling and attacking. Scout sat to the side and watched this going on.

He wasn't left out of the playing, rather he was plotting! Planning for the exact moment when neither boy was expecting him. He pounced and he knocked both of them down(despite his smaller size). We liked that he seemed more reserved than the others, think before you act! Little did we know that that would create a challenge for us to stay one step ahead of him!

*************

So now you know why they think they chose me. I will tell you the real reason. I'm gorgeous and charming with just a dash of silliness. Who could resist the complete package! They left that day and I knew that when I was old enough that I would be traveling in mom's lap all the way home to begin a new life! My story has just begun!
